National Team Announcement!

First and Second National Teams

Thank you to everybody who participated in this great event. We had a great time seeing everybody play and we walked away impressed with all the talent. Congratulations to the First and Second Team USSSA All Americans. With the amount of talent in Kissimmee, it was very hard to choose a National Team and a Second Team. We are already looking forward to the 2013 USSSA All American Games.

USSSA First Team & Second Team All-American Honors were awarded to the top individuals at each of the 14u, 15u, and 16/17u divisions for the USSSA All-American Games. The First Team All-Americans automatically earn a spot on the 2013 USSSA National Team who will compete in International competition next summer.

Select individuals from the Second Team All-Americans will serve as alternates. If a current National Team Member is unable to attend, a member of the Second Team, who matches the position, will be called to fulfill the roster spot.

Alumni Selected Day 3
After three long days of painstaking choices, the 2012 MLB Draft has come to end with the Phillies selecting the 1238th player. Day three of the draft proved to be successful as there were a number more of alumni called upon. USSSA World Championship standout Derek Deyoung was picked in the 18th round by the Athletics.
Draft Coverage: Day 2
With day two coming to a close after 15 rounds, there were yet more USSSA and ABR alumni names seen in the draft. However, we must first take notice of a few of the 1st round names that were overlooked yesterday in the Day 1 coverage.
Draft Coverage: Day 1
With camps beginning in 2008, 2011 marked the first actual year where the majority of ABR participants would be eligible for the draft. However, there were a few ABR alumni eligible in 2010. Meet the 2012 USSSA HS Varsity National Team
Traveling abroad to represent the United States and USSSA is a once in a lifetime opportunity for many. In just a few short weeks, USSSA will be sending its High School Varsity National Team to Prague, Czech Republic, to compete in the 31st annual “Prague Baseball Week” Tournament, which is held at the Eagles Praha Stadium. All international expenses are covered for the team members by USSSA. 2012 marks the third annual Team trip over seas for the USSSA National Team and its second consecutive trip to Prague. Last year the highly talented USSSA National Team placed third in the Prague Baseball Week tournament which included national teams from the Czech Republic, Poland, and France. The players received the opportunity to play against the very teams which participate in the World Baseball classic
Deler Commits to FIU
Derek Deler is a Junior middle infielder out of Boone High School in Orlando, Florida. Beginning this 2012 season, the Florida High School Athletic Association mandated that all high schools switch to BBCOR bats. BBCOR didn’t seem to faze this 5’10’’ 165lb short stop as he went on
