High School Varsity Team USSSA Information

The dates for the Japan trip were moved to August 10th-18th in order accommodate the individuals who are invited to the Area Code Games. The dates have been confirmed with Japan and are final. To allow for an overall cultural experience, all team members will be housed and fed at University dorms. Team USSSA will be departing out of Chicago.  We are asking for team members to arrive in Chicago by 12pm.

Team members will be staying in the dorms of Lewis University in Romeoville (IL) and all meals will be provided.  Team USSSA will be utilizing the Lewis facilities for practice and meetings.  Schedules will be provided to all individuals.  Those who are in close proximity to Lewis University are not required to stay in the dorms.  You are allowed to commute.

Tentative Schedule of Events
(dates are final)
Sunday, August 8th:
Arrive in Chicago by 12pm
Team will check-in, meet and greet, pick-up uniforms and gear, light practice

(Individuals who do make the Area Code Games will not be required to report to Chicago early).
Monday, August 9th
:  Practice, team meetings, etc
Tuesday, August 10th: Depart for Kansai Airport in Osaka Japan
Wednesday, August 11th: Team arrives in Osaka. Take bus to the University will the team will be staying. A welcome party will be held in the evening. If there are delays, it will be rescheduled for the following day.
August 11th-17th: Games, sight-seeing, etc
August 18th: Depart Osaka

International Director, Pete Caliendo, is planning all trip details and will be in contact with each team member and their family. He will assist with flight, hotel, and different packages for family & friends who will additionally be making the trip.

USSSA Team members are only responsible for their transportation to and from Chicago. Additional information on the Chicago housing arrangements from August 8th-10th will be posted shortly.

All updated information on the trip will be posted upon its confirmation.

gold medal games
 14U & 15U Team USSSA (Gold Medal Games)

The Gold Medal Games are scheduled for July 12th-17th, with July 18th as the rain-out day. The event will take place at the Houston Astros Spring Training Complex (Osceola Sports Complex) in Kissimmee, Florida.  The check-in date and practice have not been finalized.  However, if you are looking to book airfare, I would suggest to plan on arriving at some point on Saturday, July 10th. 

The schedule of events, hotel information and additional details will be posted shortly.

There will be approximately 4-8 other countries competing in the Gold Medal Games. Additional Details will be posted shortly. Please check back for the most updated information.
