Jacob Hornbacher (MI) had 2 key hits in today’s game to help lead USSSA 16u to the victory

Ford Moore (TX) pitched 4 innings against Mexico in today’s game. No one got on base

The 16u team is now 2-0 in pool play. Lorenzo Wright (SC), Skylar Janisse (Canada), Ahmad Christian (FL) and Hunter Wood (AR) have all been key players in USSSA 16u’s early success

15u Team Highlights

USSSA beat Canada 8-1 and Puerto Rico 2-1 in today’s pool play games. Jordan Aboites (CA), Eric Williams (TX), & Collin Maxfield (FL) have all been key players

Alex Hagner (FL) pitched an impressive game against Canada. He went 3 innings with no hits and 1 walk

Jordan Aboites (CA) continues to stand out as a head's up ballplayer that understands the game and can play multiple positions successfully. As of right now he has been the most valuable player on our roster as he fills in wherever he is needed, including pitcher, and does so extremely successfully.

Eric Williams (TX) has proven that hitting isn't the most important part of the game as he has shown that backing up bases and being in the right spot at the right time helps save runs and keeps runners out of scoring position. He has consistently shown that he understands game situations and doesn't have to be reminded. Possibly the most baseball intelligent player on the team.

Alexis Rivera (FL)plays unselfishly and has done whatever it takes to help the team score, including bunting for a base hit, stealing second and third, then scoring on a heads up base running play.

Aaron Morris (GA) and Zachary Morgan (MO)
have proven their worth behind the plate by keeping the tempo of the game moving and keeping the fielders involved in all the situatio  ns

Clinton Hollon
(KY) has been a go to guy on the mound using an explosive FB with an excellent CB. He attacks the strike zone and challenges hitters with every pitch.

Brody Weiss (CO) has also stood out as a player that can be relied upon in any offensive situation, whether it be hit and run, sac bunt, or simply doing whatever it takes to get on base including getting hit by pitches. Unselfish, quiet player that is always in the game.
